What is Floristry?

Floristry involves growing and caring for flowers. It also includes hand-picking flowers and creating floral arrangements. Floristry is designing blooms and plants into a unique arrangement. Then, florists place them in flower pots, vases, containers, and baskets. They craft all styles of floral arrangements for their customers. These may be bouquets, sprays, wreaths, vase arrangements, or even dining table centerpieces. For every order, florists make sure that the flowers suit the customer's particular needs. This is a major part of why their job is known as "floral design" or "floral art". Florists also need to have skills in several areas to enter the industry. These include the following: the crafting of many flower arrangements, maintenance and storage of fresh flowers, production, merchandising, and trade of flowers, sale, and promotion of floral products.

What Does a Florist Do?

A florist crafts floral arrangements for many different events. Florists also design outdoor and indoor venues for every type of activity. They fill areas with gorgeous flowers according to the customer's needs. There are normally two kinds of floral designers when it comes to the art of floristry. Florists can adopt pre-arranged styles for their flower arrangements; this is practical when promoting floral arrangements on the internet or in flower stores. Florists can also design their own original arrangements. These floral designers usually do commissions to work on floral arrangements for certain events. Apart from that, florists are also in charge of maintaining flowers. From florals to plants and greenery, they should know how to care for and preserve their products.
